Got into real estate in '83 after earning Finance degree. Did the fortune 500 thing for a few years for a relo company, have worked in in appraisal review, and new home sales. Have managed large numbers of agents for the big companies (and frankly I'd rather herd cats). 

Second generation broker and local volunteer. Served on Carroll ISD Finance Committee, Southlake Planning & Zoning Commission, and recently the Keller P & Z. 

Besides residential, land, and horse properties... I do real estate for Tarrant County Courts as a Receiver. Often that means running interference between the seller and a lender that wants to foreclose, and I do that well. The appraisal expertise helps me get sellers the best price. 

Also created and maintain this site, not the slickest but definitely one of the easiest to find among local realty sites. [Being slick is cool, but on the web, "must be present to win".]

I live in Southlake, a stones throw from the Grapevine Lake equestrian trails... which is where off-hours are spent on assorted Paints & Quarter Horses.  

My ride of choice is a grade paint named Cherokee who has less pedigree than his mates here and a lot more years, but he does his best to cover my mistakes.

Having a few hayburners at the house makes it easier to assist folks looking to buy or sell horse properties in the Ft Worth - Dallas area... that's a niche that I wouldn't ask  just any agent to handle.

Beth is the keeper of all knowledge about mortgage and title.  She's been in both of those industries and was a certified mortgage underwriter "back in the day". She is no longer in either, her job is helping me do mine. She comes in handy at a lot of detail tasks that elude the guy on the horse in the photo above. 

Beth is originally a DC kid (Arlington VA actually)... her dad having been sort of the critter equivalent of Surgeon General when she was growing up. She has a Masters in Animal Nutrition from Oklahoma State, which seems an odd route to get into this business, but having spent a large span as a research scientist her detail work and follow up benefit from the training. 

Besides frequently being the power behind getting my closings to the table she's also married to me (which initially seemed like a good way to get out of paying her). When mortgage or title issues threaten to slow (or wreck) a transaction, she's the go-to guy.

Her last name is Omohundro, which explains why she goes by BethO... the longer version apparently being hard for those unfamiliar with what turns out to be one of the oldest family names in the US. Her great Uncle, Texas Jack Omohundro, was Buffalo Bills original partner in the Wild West Show and is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
